Call those near misses?
When I was young we used to take 6 kids in the back of the 3 wheeler and drive all the way to the pub on two wheels, get drunk then dive all the way home upside down. Never a scratch on us.Then Dad used to flog us within an inch of our lives and we'd have to lick the road clean as punishment. We were tough then - try telling that to the youth of today (with acknowledgements to Mr. Python)

Jokes aside: I saw a three wheeler (2 at the back and one at the front) do something like that last year. Fortunately none of the kids in the back were seriously hurt. It just finished up on its side, at a slow speed, with a lot of frighted and bruised kids on the ground. By a miracle no-one finished up under it.

Has to be said the one-wheel-at-the-front configuration is less stable.

Unless you are doing reverse 'J' turns using the handbrake, when it should be very stable.........

HFS Morgan used a leather gauntlet to avoid tipping over. This technique is demonstrated in The Telegraph. Perhaps this is the reason he advocated a large power to weight ratio implemented by a low weight.

I had a sudden mental image of the Budster at a party wearing a mini skirt hide then I thought no, he must be refering to that box on wheels once manufactured by BMC.

In the wide open spaces of Australia a Holden panel van was all the go if you wanted to do "everything". shades

Yea, well there you go, I had to make do with the British equivalent - a grey Austin Mini van [but no windows]!
