Richard, my front end was set up very nicely by the previous owner including fitting the RS kit. I didn’t have any issues to mask. I was just curious as to how a damper might feel as there were a couple of good reports on here and I do like fixing things that aren’t broken…. I fitted one of Simon’s thinking if I didn’t like it would go straight into the for sale section but it suits my lazy driving style. Yes it certainly reduces some of the feedback but hasn’t noticeably affected the self-centring, that’s still sharp. One of the other benefits that even my co-pilot commented on was that if felt more stable at speed on the motorway.
A steering damper will affect every Morgan slightly differently. For my Roadster, after taking advice from someone with years of daily Morgan driving, it made my steering significantly better, just as Rog has said.
I never had wobble or vibration, just an overlight sensitive feel. And that's without power steering.
