My 1980 +8 doesn't have a VIN number, just the chassis number on a plate attached by the tool tray. There was never anything stamped on crossmembers I believe it was April 1980 when the full international VIN number was required in the UK. It could be MMC took a while to catch up though

My mid 80`s +8 has it`s chassis number on a plate "stuck" on the tool box and with the appropriate digits stamped on the bonnet, it seems to be a matching numbers Morgan.. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/05/03/_DSC4190.jpg)
