This is a superquick tip.

I was at the SiL's one day when he had a VW parcel arrive. For the record, his Oak Green Mk2 Golf GTI has now gone for dipping. It looked good when he bought it, but one thing leads to another, and working full time really does get in the way of a full restoration.

Anyway, in the parcel was a Golf Mk1/2 accelerator pedal rubber, and I couldn't help but think that it would fit the Plus 4. So I borrowed it for a test fit, but unfortunately its just a quarter inch too short, although the width is perfect.

So I scrolled around e-bay and found an MX5 accelerator rubber. This turns out to be very slightly too wide, and a half inch too long.
But after slotting the top edge, and with double sided tape, it fits and looks OK. So we'll see how it goes. It does look better but only comes with "Roadster" branding.....................

I cut a strip of ribbed rubber ( no not what you are thinking!) and glued it to the pedal, still in place and unworn when I sold it. Much nicer than the slippery shiny steel.

I can only surmise, being Morgan, that every pedal was manufactured with the bar to contact the floor mounted brake light switch, and so the clutch pedal has the left side sawn off for clearance.

Unless somebody knows otherwise?

I have fitted these. The accelerator pedal makes quite a difference, and is a direct swap. I disliked the original "roller" pedal. I felt that my foot was sliding around on the roller, and it exerted an uncomfortable pressure under my foot on long journeys. The wolf pedal is much more comfortable and gives a distinct feel and control. The brake and clutch pedals doesn't make such a difference, but are certainly better. They are more difficult to fit as you have to grind off a few mm of the pedal arms, but no big deal. You can move the pedals up/down and right left to fit you needs, and you can change the angle related to the pedal arm. Toe-heeling is doable, but the pedal positions related to one another is not really good for that. I do not find them slippery, in spite of them being of bare metal. The accelerator pedal can be bought separately, or you can by the whole kit. I fitted the kit and am very happy, also because of the looks, which is homogeneous with all pedals of the same design. The accelerator is highly recommended, the other two is an improvement for sure, but I could have lived without them. But they are not that expensive and then there is the looks, so all three are in.

I have the Wolf pedal for the 3.7l Roadster throttle. I allows you to get more foot room & adjust the height . For me it transformed the car.

Quite fancied a set of these but doesn't look like they'll fit mine unfortunately.

Edit: It appears my pedals are welded on, so I reckon with a bit of fettling they may fit.

Ian Cummings at Charlesworth Mouldings has been working on moulding better fitting pedal rubbers.

Saw them today at Beaulieu, very impressed!

Apologies for the blurry photo, but I now have a set of swanky pedals. Rough cast aluminium so plenty of grip.

All for the princely sum of £12.60 for the pedals and £3.09 for the countersunk bolts (the pedals came with flat screw bolts).
