Not today, but I did yesterday

Left just before noon for an oldtimer meet in a neighboring village when my eye fall on the odometer.



A lot of Km. but spread over 32 years it's only 6000 Km a year. Nevertheless; spread all over Europe, UK included and just for fun with only 2 breakdowns; not bad.
And oh yes in the meanwhile almost 50.000 Km with MattMog.
How does one do that?

After 2 years of delay there was a very good turnout despite the bad weather.
Nice old machines.


I didn't know there was a technique for copying in those days.


There was this lovely +8 ; only the wheels (color) not my thing.

Would have liked to meet the owner but unfortunately missed him.


It was so much fun that I lost sight of the weather conditions and came home wet.

On to the 200.000 Km

1600 miles driven in last 2 weeks. Cambridge, Epernay Fr, Riquewihr Fr, Lake Como It, Genoa It. Then ferry to Palermo on Sicily. Toured the island over the last 7 days. Stayed Castellamare del Golfo and Siracusa. Drove Targa Florio. Now in Pozzallo in SE Sicily awaiting evening ferry to Malta.
Struggled for 3 days after filling up with terrible fuel in Palermo. Water and i think diesel in their petrol tank. Running on 4,5,6. Now back on 8. 😊 Roads in places shocking

Sounds like a wonderful itinerary.

Lovely day trip to St Eval to spend the day with our son and his girlfriend with a lovely lunch at our favourite place in Mawgan Porth.
The traffic was all moving well but lots of it, a great day out, "proper job".

Run out to the Gardeners at Tostock. Some folk came by tin top but us hardier Suffolk types were hood down.

Another 70 miles, now in Malta. Car had new oil and filter, plugs and front suspension grease. €99 parts. €40 labour. Lovely little garage in Naxxar
