That's funny I was reading a document this week (in autocar or one of the on-line sites) about how many Porsche lovers are totally like this!
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

That's funny I was reading a document this week (in autocar or one of the on-line sites) about how many Porsche lovers are totally like this! Alistair are you hopingto bait anyone special..... OK I will bite... Having been a fan of all sorts of sports cars from vintage onward. I have been and still am a tad enthusiasticand appreciative of many aspects of quite a few Marques, though fundamentalist ideals are not of my choosing. I do remember seeing a picture of a chap with what looked like a tattoo of Morgan wings on his upper arm... I guess it takes all sorts.. I came to cars via a Mk1 AH Sprite that was a rot box moved on to B`s through a variety of Lotus cars, most again in need of attention, the list goes on and perhaps the most unusual was a pair of MK1 Jensen Interceptors during the 70` s fuel crisis.. They and others provided all sorts of challenges and rewards not quickly forgotten.. My sixties Elan was for me a dream come true at the time I owned it..even though it was an old ta*t that had been through many hands, badly treated and bore the scars.. As For Porsche they are not without their failings and their marketing power along with great long term success in what seems to be every kind of premiere motor race from LM to Paris Dakar, may attract many a sporting fan into Porsche ownership as it did me when in my late twenties. The main draw for me was the quality associated with their engineering performance and reliability during the air cooled years when over time I owned three such. I suspect Porsche like Ferrari and other premium brands attract those who buy a machine to support their imagined status, and may not have a clue as to anything relating to the marques history or even the engine configuration in their car.. I have one amusing and true story of a clueless Rari driver I came into contact with at a dual Porsche Ferrari dealership...Yeah, old men and their stories...

Well as it happens I had not intended to get a reaction but that is funny, and I never mean anything to insult.
I loved Interceptors, some of the re-makes floating around are very special and look remarkably modern even now.

It's okay George, as far as baiting goes I only did it through that you have the choice of two very different and fantastic cars to drive! My story was true though and the proof is below. Strange thing is Albert is quite young ( compared to me) and you would have thought he would come down on the side of the Porsche!! A tip for dog owners: Ring your doorbell on the way to bed at night. This will clear the dogs off your bed long enough for you to get in and get comfortable
