It's nice you think of me as being smooth but I doubt I live up to that in real life. The best, most beautiful, smoothest car was the W216 CL600, who wants a Bentley/Rolls etc. The government is now force-adjusting my mindset which is a bit unfair.

This is the day we collected it, last time it was ever seen clean inside or out.
They don't look that big in context.

If you are a CX owner please skip the next picture.
Look at the size of those brakes. 390mm EBC upgrade discs and pads.

Well it certainly doesn't look quite as big as a Strange one in your pictures. The W216 CL600 really does look just right..

Well the Michelin PS4S on the lorry might be a bit overkill but they are very very good. It's a bit of a challenge to get your knee down in the bends in something the size and height of a baby elephant.

I had the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 on it before and they were pretty good but the PS4S are so good they change the car.

PS4S
A lot quieter, changed the comfort level of the car.
Ride is definitely smoother, I suspect the edges of the Dunlops had worn unevenly which was leading to patter.
Steering feedback massively different, can almost feel some road now.
Have not tried the grip yet as they need bedding in.
Braking feels a lot more stable (bike pulled out, how did he miss two tonnes of black lorry for heavens sake)

It was interesting to note that they took nearly three hours to do them. He said that the ultra wide, high rated tyres (107Y XL) have so much reinforcement in the body and sidewall that getting them to fit onto the rim and pressurise is becoming difficult. Once they have mounted the tyre to the rim it took three of them to hold it in place in order to get the edge to seal and take the pressure.

Also noticeable was that they needed far fewer balancing weights than the Dunlops.

There you go, inside the rim so you can see the width of it and the block pattern of the PS4S at a foot size! It took the big fella to lift them into place.

Massive, I'm thinking it sounds like they are reaching the limits of width/profile for man/woman handling..
