I'm no doubt missing something (I frequently do! 🙂) but I can't see the added value of it being one of about 100 in that spec for that year (plenty of other of that spec the years either side) and having a competent but not 'big-name' racer previous owner being that much ... the Corvette wasn't an exclusive 'prestige' car in its day. .... just mystified??? To put it in perspective you could have two of these rather special cars and enough left over to buy a top-dollar C3 Corvette as a runabout 🙂 https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1400898K
