The Felixstowe carnival is back so we joined in the parade. Great fun.

I heard a new one today. I took the Moggie to the local fishmonger's for some scallops. Arrived at the same time as did a late middle-aged woman in a small, nondescript SUV/crossover thing:

Her: "What a neat car! Is it an MG...B?"

Me: "No, it's a Morgan...plus four."

Her: "Oh, a Morgan! I used to be very involved with Austin Healys."

Me, inside my head: How, exactly, does someone "very involved" with Healys somehow identify a '67 +4 as an MGB?

Me, holding open the fishmonger's shop door: "Healys are lovely cars."

Despite my unresolved confusion, the scallops were delicious on a bed of porcini risotto. A side dish of Bahamian-style conch salad was icing on the cake.

Image/Cooper man..
sorry for leaving you in limbo, it is still making 283bhp and 310lbs/ft. the interesting thing was that the hub dyno could work out the diff and gear ratios (no idea how) it is a fascinating bit of kit and a lot safer than a conventional rolling road I have no idea which is the best or most accurate but the dyno hub has less variables ie. tyre pressure tie down pressure or tyre slip. Last time I had the car on a rolling road two blokes had to jump on the back to stop it coming off the rollers. That workshop was manned by a bunch of walt disney characters ..never again!!

Thanks CooperMan. Cosmetically it's where I want it at the moment. The only things I'll consider next is mesh grille and a front valance. I like the full with ones without the overiders but don't want to lose the protection that the overiders give. Not sure if I fancy the little stubby one.
