After dismantling the tanks for repair (leak) I took the opportunity to change the wood of the body which was tired.

I redid it in 22 mm thick exterior boat plywood and epoxy varnish plus polyurethane glue on the bodywork.

Gosh, that's some serious work! Was the original wood failing or going rotten?

The wood is rotten near the hood fastener and peeled off in places on the sides, it was starting to have body vibration noise coming from the rear for a while, the vehicle is from 05/2013 with over 100,000 km , luckily the weather is favorable for working outside my workshop is full of mechanics, I was thinking in my workshop at the end of the evening that we were spared the triangular piston.

Brilliant work, and pics! So much for dipping frames in Cuprinol, the only solution is pressure impregnation.

Hmmm... that triangular piston looks like a bit like a rotary rotor. A rotary engined M3W would be .... interesting (and no need for a Centa!) smile
