Have a '95 Plus 8. The seat belt retractors do not do a very good job of rewinding the belt after use.
Is there a spring adjustment of any type in the unit?
Or, is it s lubrication thing?

TIA
Tom

Hi Tom,

I have never done it myself but it seems they are adjustable here.

My 85 belts were bad. I pulled them fully out and squirted a very small amount of wd40 into the bearings. They've been excellent ever since.

Mine are awful. If the lock engages it never seems to want to release for ages.

Worked for me. Read the instructions as over-use can leave blobs (dodn't ask how I know, fortunately on the tin-top).

I find the folded hood interacts with the webbing causing them to stick.
Its something I need to address as sometimes when I re-adjust my position while driving, I'm left with a baggy bit of webbing flopping around till it decides to tighten up a bit !

How do you fold your hood ?

This is not a problem I have ever encountered. I have had badly placed luggage cause an issue - I always check the belts now when I am loading up for a trip.
