Good mods Leroy, I also lined the back face of the black GRP airbox with thick self adhesive foil where it lies against the engine I did the same, it was foil but it wasn't thick. This should definitely reduce the temp. Not sure if I will notice any difference, but can't hurt. Me too on my S1 Did you notice any difference in performance John? Not really.

Leroy .... what rubber tape did you use on the bonnet rub points and where did you get it? .... thinking of doing mine.
K I ordered it from amazon. Neoprene sponge rubber self adhesive strip. 20mm wide x 3mm thick x10m long. Brand NANDEYIBI. £4.95 Including delivery. Used it to line the windscreen pillars to stop them rattling. On the bonnet, due to the profile of it, I used one strip to level it out, then a second layer close to the edge to seal it against the bonnet tape. That was for the bonnet end closest to the windscreen. The cowl end, the tapes are set further in so didn't need to level up the profile.
