Thanks Simon and Andy for your excellent Road Test Reviews. I had dismissed the new Plus 8 as being c. £10k overpriced, but the fact I am sat here obsessing over what would be the right wheel choice shows that my subconscious is still tempted... Like many who have commented, I don't like the wheels in the publicity photos, yet I don't want the large rim 'bling' of the Aero Supersports and I don't want the anachronism of wire wheels on a 2012 car. What I want is the spirit of an original +8 Milrace silver centre-lock alloy, but adapted in a 16" or 17" size and still allowing a taller sidewall than is usual on an Aero chassis. Closest I have found is from Image Wheels ( http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/large_wheel_pages/b46_classic.html) Interestingly, Image have some history with MMC, having I believe supplied the multi-spoke wheels shown on the original Aeromax prototype. Views on wheels please... then all we have to do is persuade the factory to ease the price a little!

Minilites can look a little strange in larger sizes?? (the disproportionately large centre section overwhelms the spokes and they don't actually look like Minilites)
Agree the size used on the +4SS suits the style and purpose of that particular beast perfectly!

You're probably right - I've not seen them in the larger sizes (not had the need to look for them... ). Cheers,

Those round hole wheels look nice...a bit similar to Dunlops. I agree with Graham though...the Minilites look good on the +4SS so should look as good on the +8. All I'd say to Morgan though, is make sure that they are commonly available so they can be easily replaced in later years!

So were you at MMC having Aero SS fettled or checking up on something in build? Neither, but it is difficult not to spend money when you're up there You still haven't told us, and please don't say it was a sausage role for Simon. You are such a tease, especially as you already know! All will be revealed in due course and you'll understand why I couldn't resist Oi Boshers fess up, what's happening?
