I have just changed my dashboard on my Morgan 4/4. I bought a full Dashboard, new steering wheel and chrome VDO brezels. I took a lot of pictures and made a description of it.

How do I upload pictures here? Is anybody interested in this?

Right smile... here they come!

I started out by removing the steering wheel. What i did not expect was that the steering assembley was stuck like anything I i could not pull it off. Not even with a puller. I had in the end to GRIND it off by cutting into it from two sides.

Having done that, I removed the gauges one by one, carefully. I removed the clock, speedo, and RPM first. taking picture and marking all wires carefully.

Then I removed the dash with the rest of the gauges in place and took them off one by one. The switches and lights was easy to pull off.

To change the brezels from the old black ones to the chrome was not easy, and I had to take them off using some force. I know that some gauges have an easy way to do this, but mine was the new ones 1991 VDO and they say you need to send them in. I could not find anywhere to send them ... I think I tried 15 different places. In the end I took them off.

I cleaned all the gauges and glued the chrome ones in place. It worked very well.

I also installed a start button following the instructions.

dealing with Matthias Kauffelt in MK is a dream and I must recomend him to everyone. He is great and all was perfect.

GEtting the new steering wheel in place was an easy job and everything works fine. This is not a hard job, if you mark up everything. The steering assempley is another thing! But it did work after 3 houers carefully gringing it off not ruining the pole.

Amazing! You could start a business doing this for other less mechanically gifted Morgan owners.
