Sorry to hear of your bump, looking at your n/s tailpipe which looks straight and undisturbed, as it hangs off a chassis rear bracket then hopefully the chassis has escaped any damage

Reassuring, thank you. The artic driver's cab was a good three feet above my little thing, so like the others this evening I suspect he did not see me.

Lovely early evening run out to Buckfast to hook up with a pal calling in at Dartington Hall on the way.

There are situations where the brain doesn't record what the eye sees. Basically it you take a quick glance the brain "fills in the background without recording what the eye sees". So if you have ever been in the situation of "where the f@@@k did that come from" that is probably what happened. The answer is to always take two seconds looking before reacting. I have had this happen to me twice fortunately without incident, I believe it is more likely to happen when tired.

I found this a couple of years ago. It describes how our brains act and interpret what our eyes pick up ( or don’t).

https://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/raf-pilot-teach-cyclists/

Try it out....
Look to your left then turn your head to look to the right.
What have you seen? Your brain skips the fine detail as your eyes scan across.

247 miles from Santiago to Oviedo on fast, twisting roads through spectacular scenery.

It is Asturias Day (birth of the Virgin Mary) and this village celebrated with a long volley of very loud thunderflashes

Best drive of the tour thus far, with the Picos to come tomorrow.

I'm afraid not. Some of the routes TomTom has taken me on have been dreadful!

250 mile round trip back to my old home town of Luton and back to pick up an old friend. Drove through plenty of showers with the roof down and "rain flaps" up! Marvellous!

Oh, and I forgot to say; as we were driving along the A14 just after a shower of rain, a Mondeo drew alongside in the outside lane and a stunning young woman leant out of the passenger window and blew kisses at the Morgan. Never happened to me before but it certainly made me smile!
