I've not driven Tarka since May.....other than to Williams, and back home and then back to Williams.......
On Wednesday I'll take the train from Salisbury to Malvern Link and walk over to MMC where I will collect Tarka and drive home.
The train takes 3 hours, 15 mins.
Driving back should take about an hour less... unless I take the more interesting route via Ledbury and keep off the M5.
I'll report back, when I'm home.

Peter, I am very curious about your "new" impressions of your Plus 8. Of course, you can't compare the Plus 8 with my 4/4. I hadn't driven it for a long time until we took her to Italy in May. The first day took a lot of getting used to and I thought on that day, you were so happy to drive 100,000 km with this rumbling soapbox...how can that be? But by the second day, my 4/4 and I were one again and the grin came back strongly. Either you are enraptured right from the first drive or on day 2. It must be very exciting not to have driven a familiar car for so long and maybe it was good therapy of withdrawal to have her back now and enjoy her to the fullest.

Excellent observation Heinz, having in the past spent driving holidays in the Morgan it would come as a bit of a let down to get back into the mundanemobile and back to the old routine..

I had a meeting in London yesterday, at the Chelsea Stamford Brook site which is apparently something to do with football. Took the Coupe for a giggle.
On arriving at main gate I got put directly into one of the VIP spaces before I even said anything.
People are so nice to Morgans.
Did not get a picture, stupid me.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Collected Tarka from Morgan. Nicely valeted. Still no idea of the cost, MMC and Williams are discussing... Then went round the factory... VERY different from last time. More on that later.... Drove 99 miles home..... arrived and Caroline checked the brake lights. THEY STILL WORKED!   Did the magic return? Some of it..... Wonderful, almost analytical steering, both precision and response. Big V8 woofel, Great slug of power when called for. Not the best ride, Lots of road noise...on some surfaces. How do I sell keeping the Plus 8 and the Boxster to "management?".....
