Confused but not lost, weekend before last on the Edinburgh trial



At least we finished, and the Peak district was beautiful to drive round in the daytime, even if I was a little tired

Altogether more serene yesterday; fortunate again for work to take me by Stoke Lacy, after a morning at Holme Lacy checking out tree health diagnostic tech. Made a quick stop off at the nearby WyeValley brewery for supplies.

I met up with three other cars at a small show this morning. It was a pleasant 45-minute drive to the show, all via back roads. What was really nice was the 65℉ morning temperature. It was the first time in a very long time that I was both driving my Morgan and chilly at the same time.

The show was mostly focused on American muscle cars and hot rods, but there was a very nice Mini that turned up.

An wide and interesting collection of different machinery all cared for by enthusiasts, what`s more to want when it comes to passing a pleasant morning.. and with a back road drive thrown in.. Thanks for posting the pics.

I collected Belle from Allon Whites after they had replaced the leaking half shaft oil seal & replaced the king pins at 30k with hard chrome ones & Wolf Performance gaiters. The run home was lovely especially after Bury where the sun came out. It is amazing how different the car feels with new pins.

Returned home this morning from the DonMog autumn weekend near Huddersfield. A splendid weekend with some interesting roads.

The odometer breached 38,000 miles this morning and the (Feb 2014) car still drives really nicely.
