This is 'Camelman' taking the opportunity to introduce myself to everyone. I have been away from Morgans - 4/4s - since I sold GPU 870 Y a Brunswick Green 2Str., back in the early '90s. Once owned never forgotten, anyone knows where she is now ? Sold her through BH when they were still based at Brands Hatch.
Anyway, today I ordered a new LHD 4/4 from Melvyn, still have to sort out the colour, but she should be ready for the Summer.
I tried 'Mogtalk' but gave up with it, this Site is much more 'User Friendly'. Pity more of the MSCC Centers without Sites haven't taken to using it.

Welcome Camelman and congrats on your order for a new 4/4.
Great post and we look forward to hearing more from you. Simon - Admin is away on a cruise, but I am sure that he will welcome you personally once he is back.
Cheers Brian

Thanks for the Welcome Gents. Any ladies on this Forum? Why is it that 'Morgan Drivers' are without exception a nicer crowd of people ? Morgans also seem to make make 'others' 'Happy' as well. Not many cars can do that, not even my 'old' HRG. It used to make people curious, but not 'Happy' to see it! A subject I think for the Malvern Arms.
I'm living in Dubai, but office is in Sharjah. I work all over the Emirates (Construction Services) and travel around the Gulf. Weather still 'Hot' for the time of year (39 Deg. 'C') but coming into the 'Moggie' season, if there were any left here.
Back in the 80s' we were actually a MSCC Center ' Mogite' - Morgan Owners Group in the Emirates - with the majority of the cars +8s' - 2 x 4/4s. I was Secretary at the time. Founding Member was Richard Kent (+8) he returned to Scotland shortly after the inagural meeting in Sharjah. We reached I think 6 cars, but problems arose re - registering RHD Cars and the Center fizzled out. One car from those days is still in the Gulf; when Norman Sheppard (ex Cranmog)moved from the UAE to Saudi Arabia he drove his +8 up there and commuted between Dhahran and Dubai on a regular basis for a couple of months. Not the the easiest journey.

I know what you mean about Morgans and certainly having been the usual 911, etc, route; all one seems to get at least in the UK is agression and quite often, road rage! Why are Morgan's different, go figure as our American friends say
The only ladies that I know on this site are Funky and Helen Thorne, but I don't think I have seen either of them post yet, though Funky posts to PH on Morgan issues and taakes delivery of an Aero early next year.
We will be passing thorugh Dubai early next year, leaving UK on the 1st Jan and continuing on to Lagos on the 10th January 2007. If you're around then, it would be interestring to have a beer or something.
Cheers

Many thanks for your Welcome Message Nick. Your 'Posting' was the the 'First Port of Call' so to speak after my 'posting' on the Traditional Morgan Forum. Literally, as I was replying to Michaels' Welcome message, I got a telephone call to be else where. Unfortunately, that necessitated a 'Quick Exit' and a night away from home. I hope I haven't ruffled too many feathers in my absence! I think I may be in the Minority here, but I love 'Morgans' and in particular 'Coal Carts'.
One Person who isn't too pleased by my 're- birth' into the Morgan World and the subsequent 'order' of a new 4/4 is my Madame!
Kind Regards
Robert aka Camelman
