Clemens, with your new language skills, thanks to TBM, you might be able to work out where the Jockmog centre is located...? Must be a very fun area . Correct ?

In England, people who are called John, are sometimes refered to as 'Jack'. There are a couple of theories as to why, both going back to the Medieval times! In Scotland it has become 'Jock'. So someone called John from Scotland is often referered to as 'Jock' and over time this has taken a more generic meaning for anyone from Scotland. This can sometimes be seen as a derogatory term in the same vein as 'Paddy' for Irish or 'Taff' for Welsh, but most countries have reclaimed it and they have more common usage within the countries. However, although a Scot may be happy to refer to themselves as a Jock, personally I wouldn't be comfortable in using it to describe someone from Scotland, unless it is with an individual I know well, who has made it known that they would like to be refered to as 'Jock' (same with Paddy or Taff). In cockney rhyming slang, the term 'sweaty' is used to describe someone who is Scottish - as 'Jock' rhymes with 'sweaty sock'.

TBM .... that sums it up nicely .... I know a good few Scots who are happily known to all and themselves as Jock ... but I'd hesitate to use it to refer to the general clientelle of a Glasgow pub 🙂
As for the Cockney slang term I'd never heard of it at all until quite recently ... makes me (as a Londoner by birth) doubt that it's true traditional rhyming slang and possibly more military barrack banter that gets attatched to Cockney slang just because it rhymes.

Perhaps not as much fun as sexMog Clemens... I think the use of sex in the name relates to the first officially declared nudist beach in the UK was located in Brighton which I think is included in the area covered by that group of Morganeers... As ever I could be wrong

Will plan a trip to the area with my MOG, which hopefully finds its way home next week, and visit Brighton and Sussex. It is always best to get an impression in person ☝️

If you are planning a trip to UK, you cannot leave DonMog out - as the oldest centre of the MSCC, we justify a visit. DonMpg = Donington Centre - centred on Castle Donington in the East Midlands and ideally placed for a visit to the Donington Historic (29-30 April 2023) where Phil Royle of this parish will have organised privileged parking.
