My TTracs werefitted 8 years ago and I have no problem on (an admittedly lower powered car) with traction or braking, so they'll stay on for now. The ones I really need to replace are on the 90, but finding imperial size is getting more difficult. And they'll have to wait until money is coming in anyway!

Now that I'm retired and relatively skint, I will be fitting T-Trac 2 next time instead of the Sprint Classics currently on the car.
Trouble is, I'm having a bit of a job convincing myself to change them. The fronts are getting on for 10 years old, the rears for 6, and so you'd think they'd be hard as nails and slippery as a greased pig. And yet even when very cold and on damp roads the tyres still seem to grip absolutely fine. Even when I really nail the throttle to force them to break away they let go gracefully and come back under control very neatly. Tyres don't degrade so quickly if the car is kept garaged.

The Vredesteins work really well for me ... they seem a sweet-spot between performance and price .... look forward to your feedback.
Not wishing to stray into 'Soap-Box' territory but I'm on a number of forums and the efficiency of selling stuff into the States is something that has come up a few times lately on completely unrelated sites (guy orders drive sprockets for an obselete mini-digger from a place that still makes them in the UK ... on his Tenessee doorstep three days later) .... if we can 'third-party' trade like that to the US then why is 'third-party' trading into the EU such a disaster unless someone's being deliberately bloody-minded about things??
K I often order parts from the UK which are sometimes cheaper including shipping using a carrier such as DHL or FEDEX they arrive within 4-5 days. Living in a rural mountain area the local post office can be sporadic, it took nearly a year for a home made Christmas cake to arrive from a friend in Hereford via postal service.

Fair point, Mine lives in a nice dark garage. I also keep the sidewalls well protected with Dodo Juice Tyre Dressing.

Thanks to friend and Talk Morgan member PaulyG's recommendation of a good tire shop, and his transporting the wheels and new tires there, we are good to go! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/02/17/New-Tires.md.jpeg)

This looks very familiar to me, and very good too. BTW this TTrac2 tire has really very good grip, even in the wet. The sidewalls are on the one hand nice and stable for controlled driving. And they are at the same time much more elastic than those of eg the original Conti. This results in a consequence for the air pressure. I do not have to ensure the grip by driving very little pressure values as, for example, with the OEM Contis. After meanwhile 7 years with two sets of TTrac2 tires I drive the following air pressure: front 1.8 bar and rear 1.9 bar or even 2.0 bar on longer rides. This is a range where the tyre still rides much smoother than an original OEM Conti at 1.5 bar and the grip is still very good. Overall in conjunction with much better control in the curves. But of course try out what air pressure you personally prefer to drive. I write this only because many people would not get the idea to drive a 4/4 with 1.9 bar at all. I would definitely try it out...and then soften up from there if you don't like it. One reason why this works well I think is that the tyre is so narrow. With a 205 wide tyre it would probably be a bit too much air pressure.
By the way I have the second set of TTrac2 not! for the reason that the first one would not have had any more good grip and smoothness regarding the rubber material any longer but because I had driven with the first set of TTrack2 very much in the years before Covid 19. The first set had lasted about 55.000 km with quite sporty driving...until the tyre was too much used (even after the change from rear to front) and therefore driving in the very wet had become too risky due to the worn tire tread.
