Before you go down that route Thierry, I would really run it for a couple of thousand kilometres to let the suspension bed in. It should improve as the miles build up. If then its still stiff I'd consider the shocks.

The front end will be very dependant on how the kingpin bushes have been reamed. This is likely to vary from car to car and if they are tight, the stubs will resist sliding. It could take a while for this to bed in, but regular greasing might make a difference - especially on the lower nipples.

I am trying to drive as much as possible but with the weather i
have only done 250 km in 20 days .With my old car the average was
4000 km per year ,i hope i will not have to wait 6 months to have
a confortable car.

The front suspension in my new 4/4 1.6 has settled down after 1400k and the car is driving very well; it has had its first service. No overheating issues on a hot day; unlike all my other english cars.

My only grumbles are;
* loose hinge on door, unfortunately the end inside the door
* sunvisor that drops down with the smallest of bumps
* poor carpet quality
* loose toolkit which banged over every bump

On the last point the dealer stuck some bubble wrap under the tool tray which did nothing; I had a good look and found the problem, the small right angled bracket which holds the wooden tool kit cover down is tack welded on and had broken off. I re- fixed it with two small lock tite bolts and all is well.

Looking forward to more Ks over Xmas

happy new year

This morning i made a small trip with a friend to show him the car.I was very surprised that the handling of the car was far better than before.I think this is due to the extra weight of
the passenger.When he left the car she becomes again less
confortable.So the leaf suspensions are not adapted for the 4/4 sport wich weight less than a car with the spare wheel,the bumbers,etc...
