As a kid I had unlimited patience in building kits and Lego, (and the forerunner 'Minibrix'). I've done a bit of kit building more recently, and it's much harder to stay focused. As an adult I have less patience and 'better things to do'.
I quite like the idea of the Unimog though, and kit building is a way of passing the time when retired...... maybe.

I tried to learn guitar as an adult. I found it exceptionally frustrating at not being 'good' at something immediately!

LOL
I tried to learn it as a child. Didn't take long to realise I was sufficiently tone deaf that it was a total waste of time... laugh2
My sister, OTOH, was pretty good playing French Horn in school orchestra, including the solo piece in the annual concert one year, Mozart - a tune I will never forget (doesn't mean I can remember the name of the piece though!). She played a lot of other instruments too, though we can't find her Mandolin, which seems to have vanished when Mum moved from Gloucestershire.

As for kits - I used to make a number during my seafaring years, now I tend to just stick to the electronics or radio variety - something I will use. Doesn't stop swmbo buying me a very occasional car one though...

Anyone having their Mog serviced at Richard Thorne will meet a prime example of a young woman happy in the engineering industry. R.T. and Charlotte have been maintaining my Aero for the duration.

Her sideline in throwing herself out of perfectly functioning aircraft with a large handkerchief on her back indicates a certain desire for excitement. This is no doubt related to why she is servicing Morgans and not VW's etc. I doubt the concept of a "typical fault" on Morgans is a volume condition! Every day probably brings another eletro-mechanical riddle.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
