Americans are still getting used to roundabouts - imagine if MK was transferred/deported across the Atlantic.

This is the Electric car I want. Pity I expect the price in Australia would be the same as 4 Tesla 3's

Yikes. What a giggle. I particularly like the fact that he wants a car his 3 daughters can drive, then admits you have to fight the steering like a F1 car.......
Great video. Actually I am surprised it isn't a bit quicker to 60 mph.
Thanks for posting.

I followed your link whilst doing some work on the other screen, half paying attention (sorry)
I looked up to find a video about couples swapping....it took me a moment to work out it was an add for snickers. For a moment I thought you had pasted the wrong URL and it was reflecting something of your lifestyle. No blame, no judgement !!!!

Love the Mini, part of me misses the noise but part of me laughs as they torque swerve they way up the road.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I went looking for the Mini video after visiting my MGB at the workshop. While I was there looking at my car the workshop owner mentioned he is having a trip to the UK in a few weeks. He has a Customer who wants a car just like that video so he is flying over to talk to the makers of that car, have a test drive and arrange for the parts to be sent over. Also he is seeing Frontline in the UK and probably some other car companies he does business with.

After my MGB is finished I will want to drop in occasionally to see what they are up to as I feel they are going to be building some interesting cars.

Next stage in the great Electric Vehicle Scam......

We're having an OhMe Charger fitted this weekend - all in will be about £900 as a mate is doing the install.

To get the best overnight charging rate, it is recommend that we switch to the IntelligentOctopus rate. This allows us to charge overnight at a very reasonable 10p Kwh hour rate.

However, to switch to this rate, it involves an increase in our daily rate from 32.03p kwh to 41.11p Kwh (and a decrease in dailu standing charge from 45.12p to 44.22p). Based on our current usage, and factoring in we use about 1Kwh per day overnight, it's going to cost us an additional £18 a month before we even start charging.

My basic sums have worked out that, with the current mileage, petrol mpg and hoping that the electric aspect will cost approximately 6p a mile, running the hybrid properly will save £40 in fuel costs a month against petrol alone. Take off the £18, and that leaves us £22 saving a month. In 41 months we will have covered the cost of the charger and then we'll be in the money.........

Edit: This is based on 400miles per week.

What a bloody PITA this electric car business is - a new license to print money.
I hope it all steadies up a bit for you and the good lady Phil because this is financial nonsense doh

Yep, we're trying to embrace this as much as we can, but to be honest, considering all the environmental impacts of producing the electricity, and all the ethical issues surrounding batteries etc I fail to see that EV usage is anything more than a rich blokes vanity project. Hopefully, over time, things will improve.
