Congratulations to EE, who just sent me an email with this subject line:

"Confirmation: Your order's on its way"

It's amazing that a correctly-punctuated message stands out!
All the apostrophes where they should be, and none where they shouldn't

love

Will

Better than the PO . I sent a to be signed for letter to Germany on thr 9th regarding by German pension.
According to them it is either Chelmsford or LHR. After 1 hr holding I was told they would only look into it after 20 working days! The quotes cyber attack means they ave no idea where it is. THe UK is collapsing into a 4th world country!

At least you have info.

I sent a letter to Canada a couple of days ago, I had to sign a declaration inc my name address and postcde and description of contents. When Asked why ? I was told Royal Mail were suffering scams, fraud and theft and had tightened requirements.

Sadly not available in my era, in my part of the world... but I do have a degree in literature, so you're on the right track Chris ;-)

Viva la Brexit!
We just received a letter which included tourist brochures relating to our upcoming trip. The sender had to complete such a declaration and gave a nominal value of £1. The result was a customs clearance charge of €2.25.
To make matters worse we weren't at home when the post arrived so it meant a trip to the post office the next day and a half hour wait whilst all available counters were occupied by customers with non postal issues.
The Italian Post Office is now more involved in banking, mobile phone, insurance, energy, and other services than it is in postal service 😡

When filling out the "Customs Declaration" on documents try using "NCV" as the value, = No Commercial Value, value for Customs Nill.

Do not forget that the UK Post Office is a different business to the mail service.

The Post Office was intended to be a small banking service from the beginning.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
