This is where the crunch comes when comparing Morgan insurance. “Agreed value” is bound to attract much higher premiums than traditional fully comprehensive. I am guessing that those who insure with the likes of LV, Admiral etc do not have agreed value. That’s fine; you get what you pay for but many sleep better at night knowing that if their pride and joy is written off, they will get a fixed sum, which may well be far more than what an insurance company would otherwise offer. Just look at the current depreciation on CX cars! My current agreed value is more than I paid new for the car, 12 years ago! One other effect on insurance costs is your postcode. A friend of mine who only lives a couple of miles away, but in a very upmarket area can never match my quotes for similar cars, age and driving history. Apples and pears, as they say.

The big market players like LV, Admiral, etc will knock you big time if the car is written off, our daughters car was crushed by a falling tree and written off, the payout was derisory despite me intervening with some legal weasel words and proof of value - they wouldn't budge
Caveat Emptor !

Given that some of the models prices have gone up do be careful of being "under valued" if you go down the agreed value path. If the value of the car has gone up they will say you have been unpaying as an excuse to get out of the contract.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I would be really interested to know what kind of premiums Plus Four owners are being charged. I've had a quote of £715 with a 3000 mile restriction from Gott & Wynn through ERS for a 2023. This seems on the high side to me. ERS is the same company my 4/4 is insured with.
Thanks, Paul Just about to renew mine. G&W quoted £655.00. Cheapest quote I have had is via Ageas at £485.00. Having reviewed the policy details however, I will re-insure via G&W as the level of cover is so much more comprehensive and at a premium addition of £170.00 relative to the new value of the car, worth paying for IMHO.

My renewal with LV multi car + 4 and Fiesta ST, UP 25% to £609.89. I don't think so, Ageas £223 for the Morgan and RAC £225 for the ST. So £448 for the pair.
