Does anyone know off hand what size c-spanner is required for the Spax adjustable shock absorbers, does it need the round end to go in the hole also or will the flat shape also work?
Thanks

Typically adjustable shock absorbers just have an integral plastic knob or sometimes a screwdriver slot to adjust, the former shown below on left hand Spax coil over shock. I wonder if you are referring to adjustable platform coil springs though also as below and which do require a C spanner? ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/XYguLx8.jpg) If you find one to accomodate collar diameter the lug of usual flat plate C spanner should fit it in adjusting hole as above. These ones have a hex grub screw to lock collar into place, others have two thin collars to lock adjustment against each other and require two C spanners.

Just measure collar diameter then have a look on eBay.

Thanks, I will take a look at that adjustable one as I am having trouble (hence the question initially) knowing which size to get as the dimensions from retailers for shocks are given as 1.9" or 2.25" spring ID, the collar is 2.5" diameter. The ID of the spring is neither 1.9 or 2.25 that I could measure but could possibly be one or the other. I thought someone might have known which size they use but an adjustable one would solve this problem
