I don't want to give any more tips here on how I would fix it, because very sensible suggestions have been made. Just one point, I would go over the affected area with a bit of polish to more accurately assess the damage. I have a suspicion that not everywhere the paint is gone where it is white, but that there is some white layer from the touch on the paint. That might make the repair area perhaps smaller if it is so.

Just my perspective here -- I would never put polish on scraped/bare metal, as (even if it is removed carefully during preparation) it will make it harder for the repair paint to adhere.

I've had very good results using water based twin pack aerosols, one for flat colour and another for clear laquer. After Googling for source bought the pair colour matched to Morgan paint code and sprayed a number plate box I had shortened to match grill width. Obviously the surface was prepared first and treated to several coats of high build primer with rub down eventually to 1500 grit wet and dry. A few coats of colour then applied followed by a lesser number (maybe just two or three) of the laquer. The results exceeded my expectations with a perfect colour match to existing paint.

Given the fact that Clemens damage is on a lower edge I would have no hesitation in making a localised repair myself using same but with thorough preparation and priming first using in this case, high build etching primer.

I have had the color analyzed. The color code for Classic Meteor Red is (CFJ) TG14B.
I am now waiting for the mixed colors and then a professional painter will do the repair.
