Although we are heading toward nicer weather: fingers crossed : it looks as though I will be losing my coverage car place come winter. I have room to put up a temporary cover and wondered if anyone had any experience or recommendations for pop-up covers? I do not currently have the budget to go for planning and build a garage : the dream : but do have a hard standing and space for something reasonable to keep the mog dry. All help appreciated.

Not really an answer to your question.... but you can build a garden-room or shed with a floor plan not exceeding 15 sqm most places without planning permission ... that's 16ft × 10ft in old money and would fit a Morgan not too snugly ... you may even find a surplus wooden building that could be adapted at a push.
I seem to remember temporary garages getting a mention on here previously so hopefully someone more helpful will be along in a bit

I've seen some classic owners using the heavy duty version of those car cocoon things that are approved for stand alone outside use, just stand on some thick plywood and tie/weight down

One solution mentioned on here in the past. It could be sold on after use when you are in a position to build maybe. These were mentioned as a cheaper option as well if I recall correctly.

I used the Clarke version for 3 years until I moved to a house with garage. It served its purpose, if sited near the house can be a bit noisy (flapping) in the wind but stood up to the gales. They've gone up a bit since I bought mine but still a sensible price. Two man job to erect, uses ground anchors that never moved.

I purchased the industrial option from house of tents. https://www.houseoftents.co.uk/ for housing woodworking machinery. Still sound after 4 years but be prepared for some condensation issues in winter. I overcome these by stringing up a secondary skin on the inside of the roof, works well but still roasting in summer, freezing in winter, in Scotland at least

The external CarCoons are great but the Clarke garage from Machine Mart would probably better meet your needs, often discounted too.

Cheers for the recommendations. +8Rich : that sturdy one is too much for me. Burgundymog, Gordon & Taffmog : that was the route i was going but did worry about the quality of the Clarke. The house of tents industrial is worth a look but getting expensive.
