Did Investindustrial bail out of Ducati eventually, what was the outcome? Anyone know? I understand Ducati was sold to VAG. Haven't read my Ducati history book yet (purchased a year or two ago - it's still in the "To read" pile)

Ducati is owned by German automotive manufacturer Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini, which is in turn owned by the Volkswagen Group.
VAG paid €1.2 billion in 2012.
It seems that Ducati is profitable and generates more than enough case not to need funding from VAG. Unlike Morgan....

I'd asked the question of someone 'in the know', "was there likely to be a more 'affordable 4 wheel Morgan". Their view was that the direction was more expensive/exclusive.
My hope is for a management buyout/ family buy-back/Steve Morris coming to the rescue, or a combination of all 3..............🙃🤷🏻♂️

No doubt there’ll be a range topper at a range topping price too! But, on a CX chassis so no proper Aero expected… As regards your hope of a family buy-back, I’m afraid that the family have taken their money and run! 🏃🏃♀️ I understand that Steve Morris is doing some consultancy work and enjoying life and so I don’t expect to see him back in MMC anytime soon… 😉

I'd say it was driven by the family as they were the direct beneficiaries of any sale. Given the state of play with the family and the issues with Charles Morgan they may have thought all of there Christmas' had come at once. Steve Morris would have been doing as instructed by the board as I don't recall any of the non family board members having a slice of the pie.

What became ove the yellow E V that the factory built a few years back? Do you mean the Plus 8? It appeared at Shelsley Walsh, "Thrill on the Hill" made a few runs and then, it is rumoured, it was taken back to the factory and reconfigured as a normal Plus 8 for sale.

I might be wrong, but I'm sure it was in store at the new building/store also occupied by the design team. That was around the time of the VC closure for refurbishment.
