New ones are about 4mm, our local camping & caravan place sells 'em as trailer mudflaps and they are very close to the width needed for just £2 a pop
I made the previous ones from black Foamex (sign co's use it a lot) it's heavily potmarked from stones, which shows intermediate ones just before the rear tyres are worthwhile

Bit of maintenance today. Changed the oil and filter. Cleaned up the front suspension, and discovered a missing bolt from the front nearside wing stay that bolts into the side light. Found a screw that fit, hopefully it will stay put.

Yes, but measure carefully as the hole positions vary considerably each side, I make a card pattern

Replaced my bonnet badge today, and am pleased with the result. It wasn't straight forward though, as most things Morgan aren't. The curve of the badge was greater than the original/bonnet. That was cured by placing the retaining screws between the gap between my decking planks and pressing it as flat as I could get it. Leaving a slight spring, which went when the nuts were tightened. The bolts could have been a little longer, to make putting the nuts on a bit easier, but the result below looks much better. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/01/PXL_20230601_144547167.jpeg) Our '64 4/4 has a badge that doesn't appear to have ever been enameled. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/04/IMG_5904.md.jpeg)

I have been using this “old school method” many, many times for last 40 years, (always using rubber liquid). The repaired tyres did further thousands of kilometer (up to 60 thousands and several years). Never failed. In my opinion suitable for usual kind of puncture (nails and similar). Can anyone here report a bad experience with THIS kind of repair?

I've got an axle issue. Grease is coming from the little hole, and only on the left side. But only after extended highway runs at 70-75 MPH. Multiple back road runs of an hour each, top speed of 55, don't cause the issue. The grease seems slightly thinner than what comes out of the gun, but the rear oil level is perfect. And the vent hole is clear. I was thinking that the brake might be binding, increasing the temperature and making the grease expand. After a run the left knock off is warm, the right is cool.
I took the brakes apart last night and went through them, but everything seemed fine. I made sure the adjuster is not an issue, and the parking brake assembly seems to work properly.
It has been suggested that maybe the bearing is starting to go. I tried pushing and pulling on the wheel, with the car on the ground and raised. I don't feel any movement.

A tough one. Not sure that grease expands much? So it's either internal pressure, unlikely if the breather is OK, or could it be centrifugal? Have you recently greased it, so maybe it's flinging out what it doesn't need?
Not much help really!

The pedal spring of the clutch disassembled by MattMog. Is broken again!! ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/05/DSCN5802.jpeg) Replaced the previous one on 25/08/2022. Not even a year?? But not broken at the same place. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/05/20220823_174917.jpeg) With my 4/4 I have experienced the same thing. 3 or 4 times in 30 years (lost count) sometimes also shortly after each other. But the last one was years ago. So tomorrow another trip to Belmog. Will replace the axle to as it is somewhat worn out. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/05/20220823_164531.jpeg)
