A full checkover of the underside after hitting some metal debris the other week, no visible damage but left some nasty witness marks along one silencer (& bust the mudflaps)
All lubed up ready for a tour of North Wales soon

Went to Cain yesterday for a service, right rear brake cylinder seized this is the 3rd one in ten years.

Went to Cain yesterday for a service, right rear brake cylinder seized this is the 3rd one in ten years. You need to peel back the rubber dust covers and wipe plenty of Ceratec around the end of the piston and squeeze a bit into the void as you ping the cover back, that should give a minimum of 10 yrs, if done each year or so

I believe that our car has some history of racing because of the engine build, suspension upgrades, fuel cell and evidence that there had been a roll bar installed at some point, but I can not figure out what sanctioning body would allow this fuel fill set-up. The nearly collapsed elbow was barely on the filler neck, the reducer was an exhaust pipe fitting, and the (no longer) flex section was a radiator, not fuel, hose. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/11/IMG_5920.md.jpeg) All better now thanks to new parts from TANKS Inc.![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/06/11/IMG_5922.md.jpeg)

It's a proper manufactured race fuel cell but presumably fitted by a previous owner ... racers seem to fall into two clans ... the 'obsessively perfect' .. and the 'That'll do' .... guess the PO was the later ... things were a whole lot looser back in the day as regards inspections 🙂
