I'm confused (easily done)- I don't think the plus 4 plus made the reserve. Nor the plus 8. Or am I misreading the auction site?

I haven't checked the site, but I don't understand this auction stuff so probably would have come to the same conclusion Gary Just taken a look and both cars just declare Finished, well that could mean several things, did not meet reserve or sold would not take too much effort to post would it C&C

Yes I think two no sales, if you look at https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/2017-morgan-london-plus-8-speedster-8W03jg for example you see Winning Bid and Reverse Met. if you look at the plus 4 plus and the plus we are talking about both have Top Bid rather than Winning Bid. It would be nice if car and classic had Reverse Not Met to make it obvious. Bring a Trailer has (Reverse Not Met) in brackets after the price in auction results which is pretty obvious. I don't think it is a case of you not understanding auctions, more that the classic and car website could and should be improved.

`it seems the plus-4-plus owner wants above 100k: https://www.carandclassic.com/make-an-offer/1964-morgan-4-coupe-rhd-gNGwZnAt that price, I feel they ought to improve the bonnet fit. Would one have as much one with a good 1960s plus 4 at a quarter of the price - I would have thought so. It's a strange world we live in.

My apologies SCX358G for providing incorrect price reporting. Good to see someone is on the ball.....

My apologies SCX358G for providing incorrect price reporting. Good to see someone is on the ball..... I don't think incorrect reporting. I am pretty sure it was bid up to 50,500 pounds and that is what was seen by more than one of us, but has now been relisted for over double. I think the owner has rocks in their head as the market has shown what it is willing to pay. I agree with SCX358G/Dave that a 1960's plus 4 at 1/4 the price would be just as much fun. I think probably more fun because it is has no roof and I feel the 1960's public would agree with me. The +4+ is a great looking car and valuable due to being rare and different to what else you can buy, but I expect was a flop in the 1960's because in the 1960's (just like now) a +4 was more fun to drive and that is why you buy a Morgan.

At that sort of price I would be looking for an original Lotus Elite, albeit they are also very rarely for sale.
