Phil Bleazey offers upgraded idler pulleys and also a range of engine gaskets. Do the idler pulleys that Phil Bleazey is now offering upgrades for fail often? I guess they must in which case that'll be another job on the list. They have been known to fail and there are two issues here. Firstly, (as with most S&S parts) availability of new idler pulleys is not great. Secondly, the originals only have one (made in Taiwan) bearing where as Phil's ones use a pair of deep groove SKF bearings side by side with a positive locating flange between them. A properly engineered design & much more robust than the originals.
