Does anyone else think that the GFOS has to be considered highly likely to be targeted by the Orange nuisance? (Just Stop Oil)

And if so what sort of reception or reaction are they likely to receive?

Could they for instance be put in the stocks and make their point from there?

I know what I'd like to do to them, however that might be frowned upon

Pay their Airfare to China or Indian see how far they manage to protest !

At the GP last weekend at Silverstone they had extensive ANPR cameras to spot 'em, I wonder if it did put protesters off even turning up of if they caught any entering ?

ANPR = Annoying Numpty & Person Recognition

Being from New Zealand and waaaay down here, am curious as to what the GFOS is (seems like a nuisance if nothing else) and the Orange nuisance???
Seems that the minority has more say than the majority these days.

GFOS = the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the annual motoring extravaganza which starts today.
"Orange nuisance" refers to the "Just Stop Oil" protestors who have been spreading orange powder and confetti at high-profile events and are likely to be targeting the FoS.

I think they are more likely to glue themselves to the main roads than try to get in, the already nose-to-tail traffic on the A27 being less of a danger to them than 50,000 petrolheads inside the event.

With the onset of bad weather, I am going tomorrow and wondered what the parking will be like ie boggy fields or hard standing

All just field parking last time I went, wear comfy shoes and be prepared to 'walk your socks off'

The public parking is on grass fields. They were pretty firm, I think they'll withstand a fair amount of rain before they become a problem.

Traffic was the bigger problem, the 15-mile journey from my home took just under 2 hours. From the north, the queues started in Midhurst.
