Thanks for good wishes on the house move

Please to say it went OK

Our house movers were superb, a company called Bambers removals in Hutton near Preston. Family firm with dad, 2 sons, brother in law and 2 nephews
Absolutely fantastic, pleasant and incredibly obliging

Just got a bit tricky in that because of buyers weren’t in a hurry to get out of theirs and I needed their funds to buy our new house, I’m sure they deliberately didn’t release funds until around 2:30 in the afternoon so we couldn’t complete and move into our new place until about 3:30, a good 2 hours after we were loaded and clear and cleaned up

Anyway it stayed perfectly dry and even had a bit of sun which made it all straight forward

Now living out of boxes and todays job is shifting boxes of books onto shelves and into the loft ( can’t bear to part with them) so I can clear the garage to collect the Morgan tomorrow

I sympathise Stewart. I hate that feeling of rooms full of boxes. Hopefully you can find vital items like the cork screw. Glad it went well

The biggest problem is that I’ve gone from a house that had 3 large sheds, (Yes 3!! They didn’t call me Arthur Three Sheds for nothing) to a house with no sheds at all, only a small greenhouse

So I’ve had to fill 2 garages, one which will eventually have a Morgan, with all the gubbins from 3 sheds

Gardening equipment
Bicycles
Ralph’s equipment (my youngest son who is disabled and the reason for moving into a bungalow)
Boxes and boxes of wargames armies and wargaming stuff
Scalextric stuff
Modelling equipment
Workshop equipment
Tools
Camping equipment
Canoeing equipment

Goodness knows what I’m going to do with it all before I become Arthur One Big Shed One Greenhouse and Two Garages

My suggestions smile
Gardening equipment REDUCE
Bicycles ONLY KEEP THE NON-RUSTY ONES, AND HANG THEM FROM THE RAFTERS
Ralph’s equipment (my youngest son who is disabled and the reason for moving into a bungalow) BRING THEM TO THE FRONT SO THEY ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE
Boxes and boxes of wargames armies and wargaming stuff SELL THEM
Scalextric stuff SELL THEM
Modelling equipment REDUCE, YOU ONLY NEED ONE OF EACH ITEM
Workshop equipment DITTO
Tools DITTO
Camping equipment GIVE UP CAMPING AND TRY AIR BNBs
Canoeing equipment GIVE UP CANOEING

Can’t sell the wargaming armies. That’s still a very much live hobby as I’m a member of Lancaster Wargames Club and meet every Tuesday night

Been wargaming for 40 years

Agree with the rest apart from canoeing. Love that

Removed the pedal assembly on my Roadster in its entirety. This to upgrade linkages. Rose joints available not compact enough so have ordered a pair of M8 marine grade stainless clevis pin sets. The OE pressed steel ones differ slightly for brake and clutch to accomodate operating rods. The brake one is 10mm and clutch 8mm diam but the former reduces to the same M8 thread.

Will bore out clevis pin holes to accomodate larger OE 3/8" pin for clutch and 7/16" for brake, with replacement pins in stainless. The bare metal pedals will be painted with black Hammerite with new brake return spring and full set of stainless fixings to complete. Pics to follow.
