Yes to Mark Middleton to get MoT & basic checkover. not done enough miles this last year - less than 400... Good to meet up with Cain (delivering king pins) when I went to pick car up from Mark.

Went with Hawki to meet RichardV6 in Laxfield and enjoy one of the best CAMRA recommended pubs the Kings Head in Laxfield AKA the Low House. Fantastic Soham Brewery beers out of the barrel & great food. It is very old world just seats, tables & beer. We didn't need the cord Leo is a wench magnet. That E5 has gone up 3 p in a week.

Shortish drive to well attended MogFriends event at the Middy (mid Suffolk light railway). A rain shower on arrival and then dry although threatening for rest of day. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/Th4kbb6.jpg) A bacon bap for late breakfast and a pint to wash down picnic lunch. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/S8nn0K6.jpg) Interesting talk on the history of the Middy followed by train ride pulled by diesel shunter on recently extended track. Both steam engines being temporarily out of commision. A further talk of the new engine shed packed with, for the most part, donated machine tools and equipment. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/zqQAF9t.jpg) Next year two steam engines on the full near kilometre of track should be available. We are booked to return again next year with the 2 engines in steam Richard, diary dates for 2024 out soon!
