Sorry for your loss. The oldest of our Lurchers has recently begun to occasionally collapse his back legs and we are bracing ourselves for the emotions and dreadful loss you are feeling. We still have him with us showing no signs of pain just a bit confused at times. They really become such a massive part of who we are.
Best wishes, Peter H

A very sad moment, Hannes, we don't have a dog but some friends with dogs. I can empathize and have experienced how much a dog can make his family happy and what an immeasurable loss his passing means for everyone. My sympathy.

Just had my rescue Jack Russell, Stewie put down this afternoon after a battle with cancer.

Not really sure how old he was as he was thrown from a moving car by his previous owners but at a guess,- probably about 12 or 13.

As a working dog he was absolutely useless but as a companion, you couldn't have asked for a better dog.

He really landed on his feet in Williams Towers and was showered with live and affection by us all

There are some nasty people about, arent there.

First time my daughter saw her father cry was when the last dog was put down. God knows what I will be like when the presenbt sailing pal reaches the end of his days.[Linked Image]
