Spent a worthwhile few minutes tightening the hinge brackets as a very helpful chap noticed at Shere on Sunday that both my doors had dropped ever so slightly and were ‘flexing’ on the hinges. 🤔😊

Just bought these brushes at the local Aldi. The slim brushes were one set, and the 2 large ones were another set. £6.99 per set. They should come in handy for getting the dirt from the wire wheel spokes. A bit of a bargain I thought.

They do look like quite a bargain. I'm sure you will be careful of those metal ferrules which could scrape the polished parts (if you have stainless or chrome wire wheels).

I use Dragons Breath wheel cleaner, spray on hose off totally amazing no more fiddling with spokes.

Beware Autoglym wheel cleaner on your stainless rims…it etches into the protective coating and leaves stains that cannot be easily removed. Thankfully, I only tried it on the inside first. WD40 Seems to be the safest and best treatment.

Took the wheels off for a poke around and to grease the kingpins in preparation for the MOT next week. Centres appeared welded on again so went straight to the "heat with steam from a kettle before banging away with the centre nut spanner and mallet" method and they came undone very quickly. Everything looking ship-shape under there!

I made a mistake that necessitated the replacement of the throttle cable. I replaced a broken motor mount, which raised the left side of the engine and failed to notice that it resulted in the throttle cable resting on one of the header tubes. This caused both the inner and outer sleeves of the cable to melt. When I removed the old cable, I found that whoever installed the twin Webers used a non Morgan cable assembly and had made a square hole in the firewall and pedal bracket to accommodate it. Simple fix was to make a small adapter out of some aluminum plate with the correct size hole. And, yes, I zip tied the new cable up and off the header...
