Difficult to understand from the photo's but wonder if the issue relates to the top shock absorber securing nut loosening then unscrewing thinking Not so much being ripped off as becoming unsecured and dangerous.

There was a recent thread on here regarding a trad loosing the top front shock nut although the result often goes unnoticed. This has happened elsewhere as well!

@Richard

Oh, good to know! I'll provide the results of the assessment.

The workshop that repaired it previously told me, 'This will never happen again; we locked everything.' My theory (though I'm not an expert) is that there isn't enough clearance for suspension travel on the shock absorber, which results in it tilting (bottoming out) and continuously hitting the absorber until it eventually breaks. But again, I'm not an expert.
Alternatively, the absorbers may not be the correct type.
However, it only happens on the left side somehow.

Can you please provide details from the previous thread regarding the absorber getting loose?

The prevoius assesment was: top shock absorber securing nut loosening then unscrewing (what I was told).

Entirely different suspension on your car but interesting to note the same shock nut problems. On the trads the shock being effectively fixed at the top has it's lower mount attached to stub axle such that the lower part rotates in a conical plane with steering input. This gives an excellent opportunity for the nut to unscrew if it's not a fully tightened locknut. Earlier trads used two nuts to lock against each other.

Might be worth considering on yours as well as using a stover (all metal) locknut.

To get a better understanding of your issue I took a snapshot of the front suspension drawing from the parts manual for the Aero Plus 8.

[Linked Image]

Although the coil spring damper assembly, part 12, is drawn with little detail can I assume the damper spindle screws into a thread in the top bushed collar secured with a locknut? If so it seems likely the female thread in this collar has partially stripped. If so it's hardly surprising it's parted again. A lot of supposition here but if correct a new coil spring damper assembly would surely be needed.

Apologies if I've got this completely wrong.

Sorry cannot help there. It shows up on my partners phone even when not logged into TM. Can only suggest you try again on a different device and/or browser.

It might also help if you download the full parts manual for you car from here and refer to the exploded diagram for front suspension.

Thank you; that PDF helps a lot. I contacted Morgan's CEO directly, and he promised to support finding the root cause, so I'm hopeful it will happen.
Frankly, currently I have lost all faith in Morgan cars, and I own three..

Posted normally Rob using valid picture link. It could be my host Imgur playing up but never had any glitches to my knowledge and as you say it did work after a refresh.
