I’m looking at a 1964 Plus 4 that seems to have an unusual shift lever. I’ve been trying to attach a photo but I keep getting a message saying that the attachment can only be 1000 bytes. I’m not sure how to attach the photo.

You need to use an image hosting site - TM Image is best. https://www.tm-img.comOr send the photo to me, and I'll add it for you.

I have another question regarding this car. I'm seeing gauges on '64 Plus 4s in 2 different configurations. In one the tach is on one side of the steering wheel and the speedo and other gauge (with water, oil, fuel etc.) are in the middle with the toggles, lights and ignition key. In this one all the gauges are over the steering wheel and the toggles etc. are in the center. By the way, this car is a right hand drive vehicle.

![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/05/1964-brg.jpeg) Copy and Paste the Full Image BB code and away you go Joe . EDIT - Joe you just hover over the RHD end of that box I quoted and the Copy should appear in blue, good luck. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/05/1964-shift-lever.jpeg)

Thank you very much Richard. I'm an old guy and my interweb skills are lacking. I went back to the tm-img.com window but I don't see any "copy" button. Now if I can find out what the deal is with that shift lever it would be great. In this picture you can see the "Morgan" id on the box that the lever is in. I've looked at a lot of Morgans and a lot of photos of Morgans but I've never seen a set up like that. Joe https://www.tm-img.com/image/Sxh3W

Mine has a 'box' over the base of the lever ... but it had been fitted with a type 9 five-speed box that changed where the lever sat so it was a logical thing to do.
K
Ps ... Morgans do tend to be modified by their owners over the years (dash being a favourite)
Pps .. if you scroll down when you upload to the 'full image' and the BB code section ... tap the 'copy' button and paste it into your post we should see any pics direct from you

Hi K,
The odd thing about this is there seems to be a metal tube that is connected to the box going towards the firewall. I can't tell if that tube is just a support for the box or if the shift levers are running through it. The actual shift lever seems to not be over the trans tunnel but well off to the side.
