Thanks Luddite for the photo but I have just rebuilt the clutch master cylinder with this SP1967 kit I had. The brake kit I am looking for is for the duel action cylinder that has 4 seals along with other parts. At the moment I have the clutch master cylinder rebuilt but thought a spare kit would be a wise move to have both cylinders re-built and ready to fit if needed. Perhaps I am looking too far ahead at the age of 81 years. Anyway thanks.

Richard, many thanks for posting the pic here for us, very much appreciated.

Dinko, have I dug out the wrong box from my spares, it seems you suggest that the pic is of the top of the Clutch master cyl... ? If so sincere apologies, though the cyl shape on the label seems to look like the dual circuit m/c, minus the reservoir.
If this is not the brake m/cyl, happy to go and rummage around in the garage as I am pretty sure I bought spares for all the seals circa 2002. and carried them on our Southern European jaunts..

Quite how servicable those rubbers might be now after circa 20 years sitting in a box...Hmm..?

I have took a chance on a kit for a MOD Land Rover which appears to be the same cylinder. On arrival it also came with even more parts including a pair of roll pins to attach the plastic brake fluid container. Like you we used to carry all sorts of spare parts that would not be available quickly in Europe. Even now I carry a new spare clutch cylinder in the car at all times. But after all the years and miles the car is still on the original brake light switch. But we still carry a spare.
For anyone looking like me the seal kit the part number is SP7698 and listed for MOD LAND ROVER.
Thanks again Luddite

Glad you were able to find the parts you require Dinko. I too have boxes of seals and cylinders for clutch and brake that I bought way back when, though I have used op the brake calliper dust seals I had as spears. It seems there was a time when it was reported that seal kits would not be available as the new way of doing things was to replace the whole unit... Could be an old wife's tale..?
