I went with Stack gauges and senders so not necessarily too similar.
I can't remember which main power supply I used but have in-line fuses for each gauge and the backlights are run off the sidelight switch.
Ive got a couple of other things that required earth connections so I also fitted a piece of brass to the frame of the fusebox with a good earth connection and several tapped holes with brass screws to get everything securely earthed and not just a bundle of overlapping connectors on to one fiddly bolt.
