Hopefully that doesn't mean delivering just one 3 Wheeler every seven years!

(Just kidding, folks. Couldn't resist.)

this may have already been done already, but has anyone contacted the company directly with these issues/concerns?

I just emailed sales at Morgan explaining that I have paid a deposit and whether any updates will be sent. I will be curious if they respond back.

I did email them a couple of months ago and all they did was to refer me back to my dealer, saying that they couldn't possibly deal with direct questions themselves. I did contact the dealer, who eventually came back to me with some answers but not to all the queries, eg were they going to be making workable rollover bars that were taller than head level. So there probably won't be much forthcoming directly by the look of things.

I received a very timely reponse fom Mark Ledington with some basic
Production information. Judging from the less then 8 hour turnaroun time, makes me think They are waking up, and making an effort to recognize their customers needs. I hope this new level of communication continues.

most important and imho most urgent on the ToDo list for MMC: the COC, certificate of conformity
what pleasure brings a delivered 3whlr when you can't get it insured??????

I'm not sure that we are being particularly hard on the company, and we all recognise that there are problems which have arisen and could not necesarily be forseen, but I feel that many, otherwise good company's will let themselves down by failing to keep in contact with their customers correctly, and will thus lose goodwill in the end, and, sadly, Morgan may be heading down this road unless they can see what is happening.

It saddens me to read this thread; and some of the other "quality" related issues that have appeared in other recent threads. I also feel really sorry for some of the members of this site; like Ivanford, who with every good reason are feeling let down by their purchases.

I do hope those at Morgan who access Talk Morgan take the issues seriously and get them sorted really soon.Maybe they should also seriously consider some personal action towards recent new owners.

Of course any manufacturer has issues (anyone who has driven Range Rovers will know); but Morgan is different and I think we all feel a real attachment to the cars we drive and MMC.

My own 4/4 was 2 years old when I bought it. I had a very limited budget and on advice bought the newest car I could with the money I had. That turned out to be a 2003 Runabout.
Over the period of my ownership I have had huge pleasure from upgrading it, as and when funds allowed.
My Morgan has been the source of many new friends, six trips to the continent, numerous Morgan events plus the real pleasure it gives me everytime I drive it.

I suppose I wish that every owner can have that sort of pleasure from their own car, so I do hope the problems get resolved quickly and that a lesson is learnt for the future.

Bud (with his serious head on)
