Looks lovely - Mike Abbas often seems to have interesting stock

Not known to me, although the lack of a number plate does not help. If the advert is correct about the engine, then it is an October, November or December 1929 car - ie a very early M type chassis. Not a Super Aero (no such model was built) but a Super Sports Aero.

The outside brake lever is non standard but otherwise it looks about right, with the exception of the rear lighting - I don't think one rear light is legal...

I'd be interested to hear how much money he wants as:
a) I've got one from a few months later (April 1930)
b) It's a rare car, 2 speed Super Sports Aero's don't come up very often

Probably more than a new one but:-
a) You won't have to wait for it
b) Teething problems would have been ironed out!

Already learnt the price from the Morgan three wheeler Yahoo group (self interest declared here, I'm the so called 'owner').

Discussion on this car on that group suggests it may be less original than it appears. On finding out the registration number, I did a DVLA check and they have it as an April 1926 car. Super Sports Aero came out in October 1926 with a different and quite distinguishable chassis.

Somebody else checked the Morgan three wheeler club records, and the chassis number there is way too high. I've thought of a possible explanation of that, if the car is genuine; essentially a mis-read of handwriting could explain that point.

Another expert has looked and pronounces the bonnet section a flawed reproduction.

Not in our eyes worth £40k but whether somebody will pay that is another matter. As I said at the start it looks like a Oct, Nov, Dec 1929 car, but whether it actually is, would need to be determined.

This car mentioned in one of the posts above is advertised as a 1948 +4 which, as a model, I don't think ever existed. On a Czechoslovakian web site it is advertised as a 1939 4/4 Roadster.

It is enough to make me think it just may be a fake.

Can anyone identify it?

Peter
