I having grief as my wiper isn’t clearing the screen…not by a long way. Just the very tip and bottom of the blade touches the screen.

Just bought two new blades at an extortionate price and had no affect

So attention now turned towards the arm. I notice these are already bent to create more pressure against the screen.

Are these arms a common part as I’m thinking my spring is too weak. ?

I fitted Caterham arms to my Roadster to good effect. The spring is stronger and design allows them to hold wiper blades off the screen for cleaning. Not sure what is fitted to your Aero though.

I have never had any faith in the wipers on the S2 or Coupe.

They park on the bodywork, taking out the wiper rubber and the windscreen rubber in some cases. I have to fit new ones every year for the MoT if they have been used in anger.
The variation in wipe pattern is much as you describe - uneven and mainly on the edges.

I have looked for any form of replacement but not been able to find anything. I even looked at hack down some of the 'blade' style wipers but that started to damage the screen surround.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Previous S1’s had started to damage paint but I put some PPF on to protect.

I’m certain it’s a weak spring in the wiper arm and not the blade at fault.

I was wondering about Caterham arms.

Have you tried a windscreen coating - they can be quite effective above say 30 mph and you don't need to use the wipers then.

I do agree though, the wipers aren't the best.. my old S1 wasn't too bad they did seem to wipe ok and not obliterate themselves or anything else - but not yet tried the GTN ones. I bought replacements wipers from Morgan which cost a fortune. They do however look very similar to original Mini ones.

After buying 2 new ones yesterday at £76 and subsequently finding out they’re no more effective than the ones I took off, I just discovered I also have two more old ones in the garage that look perfect.

My guess is that I’d bought new ones before

Screen stuff is good but the issue is you need to be more than 30mph which on our over congested roads is impossible

I am sure someone said they were Mini ones - but you are right I struggled as well and had to spend the dreaded £76 laugh2
