My single wipe function has given up. Push the lever down & let go. Wipers start to wipe but stop when lever released at the position they are in at the time of release. However if lever is pushed all the way down a rapid wipe works & on release the wipers park correctly. What do I look at 1st. Stalk, relay or contacts in wiper box. (I assume you can get at them) 2011 4/4. All other functions working correctly.

Its the switch on the wiper motor itself, dead easy change. Switch is used on everything that had this GM type motor drive so, mini original Morris miner etc. Land rover Defender used it right up until they stopped making them 2015/16. you'll pay anything from £8-£20 they are really all made in china now but when you remove yours you will see its got a few letters on it, can't remember what but these are the better quality so try for that option. Also try and get the ones with the neoprene gasket inside the terminal block as this prevents moisture entering and corroding the terminals. Don't bother trying to fix the one you have its the breaker contact inside that will be corroded and not making the right connection. If you want one quickly go into a Land Rover dealer and they'll have them on the shelf but it'll cost about £21.00+vat and it's exactly the same thing from the same place!
Under five minute job when you have the switch!

Sewin thank you for that. I’ll source one, probably from EBay.

I pulled the wiring connector off the motor , the pins were rusty so i squirted some switch cleaner on them and it seems to work now.

Fitted & everything works. Old one was a bit of pain removing. New one went on fairly easily, Had to loosen the motor gearbox to gain access.
