I got the rear brakes put back together with all new bits. All ready to bolt back on once the new Quaife ATB unit is installed...

Having been faced with the corroded number one spark plug on my GDi I've at last managed to finish the engine cover to hopefully ensure I'm not faced with this again.

After a heavy use of WD40 and other agents I managed to free the plug after a few days, anxious moments when trying to undone but eventually its loosened.

Set about fabricating a cover to prevent this and pleased with the results. I included an entry point to use the dipstick but left it at that. When the oil needs changing I will remove the cover. I used 2mm aluminium for the cover and trimmed it with some edge trim from a car upholsterer. The chrome dipstick cover is from a chandler in Portsmouth.

Brackets are offcuts from the cover and secured with stainless knurled fixings

Also fabricated some stronger bonnet stays using quick release angle ball joints. Now the bonnet stays in place and doesn't drop on my head when I brush against the stays unlike the previous versions

That looks really impressive - well done!

I certainly need one as I had the same problem with No. 1 spark plug.

Now where do I place my order.......

One of the smartest covers I've seen Steve - well done.

Great car colour choices as well innocent apologies if I've mentioned before.

Wrapped the steering column shroud in a Magnolia vinyl and fitted a beading. Hoping the wrap will mellow a bit in time to better match the leather. I can easily remove the vinyl if I change my mind but I think it is an improvement.

looks like a very nice job, Gliptone do acrylic paint to match Morgan colours, your trim looks like Morgan Stone? or colour match, great stuff, no brush marks .

I got the new alloy bell housing drilled for the installation of the bleed valve on the annular clutch release bearing. I think it turned out nicely...
