The PCV valve (crankcase breather) on my crossflow 4/4 just sits in a hole in the crankcase - it is so loose it can be removed by simply lifting it up - this seems a bit odd - shouldn't it at least be firmly sealed into the crankcase in some way? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2024/04/17/image.png)

Is this from a pre 711M block?
The 711M blocks have a triangular plate on the back of the canister which picks up on a 1/4 UNC tapping in the block.
It's a push fit though I assemble them with a smear of RTV
