Not sure i can even spell it and mine's not a good one. If I'm travelling at low speed and turn hard right something grounches at the back. I've had a look but can't see what it might be. It also happens sometimes under hard acceleration if I've got a bit of right turn on. She who limits revs  mentioned it again today as she seems to be sitting on it so I guess it must be related to axle twist or squat. Any suggestions as to what to look at first? Oh, and I've got a panhard rod so everything should be tied together. Thanks in anticipation.

GRAUNCH - I think, sounds like it could be the prop shaft fouling especially when herself is on board, should be some telltales about.

If the propshaft is catching at the rear you should see a mark, as Rich said. The propshaft also passes through a rectangular bracket half way down its length which can catch on hard acceleration, but the right turn thing sort of makes that less likely.
Check the rear tyres for fouling the inner arches.

Check the lower shock absorber brackets that bolt through the brake drum backplate, a known point of shear weakness

Had exactly the same problem on my 3.7 Roadster. Turned out it was the propshaft catching and the garage had to move the back axle slightly to stop it.

Check the lower shock absorber brackets that bolt through the brake drum backplate, a known point of shear weakness Definitely check them . I had one fail. MMC upped the spec on later cars.
