And a few more. The spire is in two parts . The taller the wing span of a Lanc the shorter a Halifax wing span. Inside it is open. The crew are from the Lancaster that broke the first dam & died returning.
The Lancaster sculpture denotes operation Manna where we dropped food to the starving Dutch in 1945 before the war ended. This involved low level daylight flights over occupied land. The Germans having agreed safe zones.

Nice little 450 mile round trip to Wales and back to see my old housemates. They rented a cottage and invited all the old biker crew over for a party, Great fun, but very tired - drove more than I slept!

Great Morgan turnout - couple on the outskirts of Worcester (pretty sure one was Dixon in the DHC), and another couple in Rhayader, then on the way back today, another couple on the A44 towards Wales, and a lone one on the A422.....

Glorious weather all weekend, and the old girl behaved herself....

Short run in the Roadster to hide it at a friends, so we can free up some garage space to tidy out the (cough) parts dept and box everything ready for an impending house move (cue blood curdling scream)

Brands Hatch Morgan Day at Goodwood. Dry, just, but a bit chilly. Shame after yesterday. Wasn't quite the eldest car there.

Yes, finally! The near daily 100 mile round trips to get the car finished are over. Just a short jaunt yesterday to fuel up, but I took the train up to Providence this morning and brought our Little Red home. I took the back roads along the coast and stopped at one of our favorite spots on the shore on the way back to Westerly.

Just 974 miles this week, all roof off, from home to Snowdonia and Anglesey. The hail on the A14 this morning was brutal.

Great weather in Central Scotland today, so fired up the Mog and headed out for a run, no real plan, just followed my nose... Killearn, Port of Menteith, Callander, Lochearnhead, Creif, Amulree, Kenmore, Killin, Trossachs, Dukes Pass then home. 175 miles covered.... Just a great drive in wonderful scenery on a lovely warm day... Will try to attach a pic, taken high above Loch Tay.

What a beautiful scene, a Morgan isn’t complete until it has a stunning backdrop.

That has to be a calendar shot or a Scottish tourist board 'visit Scotland' advert....
